Suspect Detection System's Counter Terror Technology Tested at Railway Terminal in Major World Capital

NEW YORK, July 27, 2012/PRNewswire/ --

Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (OTCBB: SDSS), a developer of counter terror and crime prevention technology, announced today that the company has completed a significant proof of concept pilot at a major railway terminal in one of the world's largest capital cities.

Several hundred passengers were screened in real-time conditions over a period of four days using the company's proprietary Cogito technology. The large-scale pilot was carried out under the full auspices and supervision of the nation's major security and law enforcement agencies. The pilot was performed in cooperation with a governmental defense contractor.

As a result of the pilot, negotiations have accelerated toward the full integration of Cogito at similar terminals the across the country. The company is currently involved in advanced discussions with the defense contractor as well as local agents.

"Successful completion of a pilot together with law enforcement agents in such a large country represents a major milestone for Suspect Detection Systems and Cogito Technology," said Gil Boosidan, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems Inc. "I am extremely glad that negotiations are advancing toward mass-scale commercial implementation in a large country that is committed ideologically and financially to rooting out terror."

The pilot demonstrated Suspect Detection System's multi-tiered approach to terminal security, utilizing two separate variants of Cogito Technology. The first level employed the Cogito C300R Remote Mass Thermal-based Screening System. This remote technology is employed to instantly isolate potential terrorists and criminals from a crowd that may be carrying contraband including narcotics, weapons and explosives.

The second level employed the Cogito 4M fully automated Rapid Interrogation System. This technology is used to identify suspects harboring intent to commit a criminal or terrorist act, as well as to expose a suspect's ties to larger crime rings or terror organizations. The interrogation system was utilized on subjects identified by the remote mass screening process.

The Cogito Rapid Interrogation System is currently in commercial use by federal agencies and private sector businesses across the world, most notably in Mexico and India. Cogito is also being employed in Colombia, Guatemala and South Africa. Cogito has also been successfully tested in the United States.
