Western Propaganda, NATO, The Arab Spring And The Rest Of Us

Image
Millions of people in Nigeria and the est of the world celebrating the downfall of Muammar Gaddafi' should not be fooled by Western Propaganda. The Internet is largely the propelling force of the domino effect of political angst sweeping many countries as the majority of unemployed youths and the lunatic fringe are blaming their elders and leaders for their woes. But let us hope the angst will not turn to anarchy. Angst often brings out more of the worst in humans than the best. The Arab Spring is an ill wind no matter how you see it from the rose tinted glasses of Western Propaganda. Terrorists are only engaged in their power struggle in the Middle East and when they have finished turning against themselves, they are going to turn their angst against you. No amount of Western Propaganda can convert the Muslims to love the Christian Imperialism of Western Super Powers and their allies. Without the undemocratic interference of NATO, Gaddafi and his murdered sons and other thous...

President Bush to Russia: Honor Georgia Cease-fire

16 Aug 2008 15:06 Africa/Lagos Radio Address of President Bush to the Nation WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is a transcript of the weekly radio address by President Bush: THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. For more than a week, the people of the nation of Georgia have withstood assault from the Russian military. The world has watched with alarm as Russia invaded a sovereign neighboring state and threatened a democratic government elected by its people. This act is completely unacceptable to the free nations of the world. The United States and our allies stand with the people of Georgia and their democratically elected government. We insist that Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity be respected. And Moscow must honor its pledge to withdraw its invading forces from all Georgian territory. Earlier this week I directed a series of steps to demonstrate America's solidarity with the Georgian people and to help bring about a peaceful resolutio...

Article Warns of Risks of Attack on Israeli Nuclear Reactor

6 May 2008 20:07 Africa/Lagos Article Warns of Risks of Attack on Israeli Nuclear Reactor WASHINGTON, May 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With Iran's continued pursuit of uranium enrichment capabilities and indications that a dozen countries in the oil-rich Middle East want to pursue nuclear energy, there are growing concerns about the spread of nuclear weapons-related technology in this volatile region. Yet, as former Department of State official Bennett Ramberg writes in a new article published in this month's issue of Arms Control Today, a potential conventional or terrorist attack on Israel's reactor at Dimona poses another, less-noticed danger: the release of deadly radioactivity from the reactor, which has been used for Israel's own nuclear weapons program. Ramberg, who served in the department's Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs during the George H.W. Bush administration, argues that "on balance, shutting down Dimona would reap both important secur...

Kosovo Albanians celebrating the declaration of Independence last Sunday . Kosovo declared its Independence from Serbia on Sunday, February 17, 2008. But Boris Tadic, the President of Serbia told Ban Ki-moon , the Secretary General of the United Nations , that Kosovo's declaration of independence is a violation of international law and unacceptable. Vojislav Kostunica , the Prime Minister of Serbia, said, Kosovo is a “false state" and Russia is supporting Serbia. The United States of America and most members of the European Union have already accepted the Independence of Kosovo, but not all the members of NATO have agreed to recognize Kosovo. To avoid another civil war, the United Nations must address the disagreement between Serbia and Kosovo.
