President Jonathan Declares State of Emergency Against Boko Haram

Nigeria's Head of State President Goodluck Jonathan Saturday afternoon declared State of Emergency in three states in the northern region and one state in the middle belt. The states have been under the siege of the dreaded Boko Haram Islamic terrorist group and other nomadic Hausa-Fulani marauders who have been on rampage killing several hundreds of innocent Nigerians who were mostly Christians and destroying properties in Borno, Yobe, Niger and Plateau. The Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the suicide car bombing of the UN office in Abuja on Friday, 26 August 2011, killing 21 people and injuring over 60 others. On November 5, 2011, the group launched series of coordinated attacks in Borno and Yobe states, killing about 67 people in Damaturu and destroying a new police headquarters and other government offices. Another Christian NYSC Member Killed by Terrorists in Northern Nigeria

Eucharia Remmy Beautiful Eucharia Remmy, a young member of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) serving in Yobe was among the over 150 people murdered by the Boko Haram terrorist sect last Friday in Damaturu, Yobe State. The Enugu-State born Eucharia was a 2010 graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and a happy member of Christ Embassy Church in Damaturu, for which she was sharing Rhapsodies of Reality booklet along the New Jerusalem Rd when she was hit and killed by one of the marauders of Boko Haram. Eucharia was the sister of Mary Remmy, a promising Nollywood actress who played a prominent role in the popular hit movie Black Berry Babes, starring Oge Okoye, Tonto Dikeh, Annie Macaulay and others. Bloody Eid al-Adha in Nigeria with over 150 Killed in Terrorist Attacks It is the bloodiest Eid al-Adha for Nigerian Muslims as the Islamic terrorist sect Boko Haram launched devastating attacks from Friday night to Saturday and killed over 150 people in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state. The attacks heralded the Eid al-Adha, the Muslims feast of sacrifice. The terrorist sect blew up a housing estate, a bank, three police stations and five churches, including the St Mary's Catholic Church. The Boko Haram swore that "more attacks are on the way". "We will continue attacking federal government formations until security forces stop their excesses on our members and vulnerable civilians," said Abul-Qaqa, the spokesman of the terrorists.
