Eucharia Remmy Beautiful Eucharia Remmy, a young member of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) serving in Yobe was among the over 150 people murdered by the Boko Haram terrorist sect last Friday in Damaturu, Yobe State. The Enugu-State born Eucharia was a 2010 graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and a happy member of Christ Embassy Church in Damaturu, for which she was sharing Rhapsodies of Reality booklet along the New Jerusalem Rd when she was hit and killed by one of the marauders of Boko Haram. Reports suggest that up to 70 people have been killed since the beginning of August, in ethnic and religious violence in the area. Ethnic and religious divisions have affected the Middle Belt region, particularly in and around Jos, for many years now and a cycle of violence has emerged in which each incident almost invariably provokes deadly reprisal attacks. The High Commissioner has previously called for a concerted effort to tackle the underlying causes of such repeated violent outbreaks.
