One of the most recent stakeholders initiatives to improve the quality of film production in Nigeria was the 2011 iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Forum (iREP) collaborative workshop with the Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the United Consulate in Lagos, on Story Telling, Scripting and Content Management, an industry clinic targeted at professionals within the various disciplines of film making. Michael Gozzard, a multiple-award winning script writer and content manager from Hollywood was the instructor at the one week workshop held at the Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage Street on Victoria Island in Lagos. The 2nd Eko International Film Festival (EKOIFF) opened Saturday morning in Lagos with the Nigerian premiere of Faruk Lasaki 's romantic thriller Changing Faces at the Silverbird Galleria on Victoria Island. The feature of 92 minutes is on the psychological trauma of an illicit affair caused by the transference of spirits through sex. The most famous Nollywood star Genevieve Nnaji Taking Nollywood to the next level Recently stakeholders in the Nigerian film industry met at the last quarterly stampede of the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) to discuss “The New Trend in Nollywood”. The event was held on Sunday May 22, 2011, at the Freedom Park on Broad Street, Lagos. The forum was convened by CORA and Mr. Femi Odugbemi’s iRepresent International Documentary Film Festival (iREP).
