From Hillary Clinton for President

Dear Orikinla, You've probably heard about some of the big changes going on in Hillary's campaign lately. My name is Geoff Garin, and along with Howard Wolfson, I'm now leading the campaign's strategy team. My job is to plot the path to the nomination and lay out the strategy that will get us there. There are two reasons why I said yes immediately when Hillary asked me to do this job. First, I believe that the Hillary Clinton I know will be a great president who will do great things for our country. Second, I am confident she can win. Let me lay out for you the situation as I see it right now. The Pennsylvania primary is approaching -- just eight days to go -- and a win there will do two things: give us momentum that will carry us through the races that follow, and show that Hillary is still the best choice to beat John McCain in the big, competitive states that will decide the race in November. The Obama campaign is outspending us three to one in Pennsylvania. But I...

Barack Obama and the Problem With the American News Media

There is a big problem with the American news media. Intellectual illiteracy is being displayed in the masquerade of sensationalism. Sensationalism undermines the ethics of professionalism in modern journalism. There is no justification for the clamor over the remarks of Senator Barack Obama on the working class folks of Pennsylvania. The Huffington Post deliberately adds more fuel in the flames for want of sensational news. Can we move on to more relevant and significant issues?

Hillary Clinton's Presidential Campaign Album

Image
Dear Orikinla, Throughout this campaign, one of the things that has touched me the most has been the incredible show of support I've seen from the people I meet every day. I'm energized by the crowds of thousands cheering on my campaign. I'm moved by the mother who takes my arm and tells me to fight to make sure the insurance companies don't deny her son coverage. And I am inspired by all you have done for my campaign. You've made calls, you've volunteered, you've voted, you've given -- and I'm so grateful for all you've done. My campaign has put together an album of some recent photos from the campaign trail in Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I hope you'll take a look and enjoy! Thank you for everything, Hillary Rodham Clinton

Samantha Power: Barack Obama's Problem from Hell?

Image
Samantha Power Samantha Power , the senior foreign policy adviser to Senator Barack Obama , called Senator Hillary Clinton a "monster" Thursday night, whilst talking to some Scottish reporters. This could be the beginning of the negative attacks planned by the Barack Obama Camp since losing in three states to Hillary Clinton last Tuesday. They are now scared of losing woefully in the Pennsylvania primary next month. Negative attacks will only worsen the chances of Barack Obama's quest for the White House . "She is a monster, too - that is off the record - she is stooping to anything," Samantha Power said and added more abusive remarks. "You just look at her and think: ergh. But if you are poor and she is telling you some story about how Obama is going to take your job away, maybe it will be more effective. The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive," she added...
