Miss Universe provides child poverty a platform in Mexico Guadalajara, MEXICO, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete reaches out to help poor children in the unseen side of her hometown of Guadalajara through Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization. “It was difficult for me to see the poverty and how these families struggle to get by in the city where I grew up, ”said Navarrete. “But now I have seen the life-changing work Children International is doing with children and teens in Mexico.
