DONATE NOW TO SUPPORT NIGERIAN TIMES

Image
I am Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima, Publisher/Editor of Nigerian Times blog. Being a self-employed writer and human rights advocate fighting against corruption and violation of human has been challenging and often traumatic in Nigeria.  I am also known as the Champion of the education of the millions of underprivileged girls out of school in Nigeria and developing SaaS applications for wealth creation and distribution for th e reduction of poverty among the majority of Nigerians for the nation building of a New Nigeria in the leadership of Africa among the comity of nations. Fighting corruption in Nigeria is suicidal, because of the institutionalization of corruption in the society from the street to the corridors of power in the government. And majority of Nigerians don't fight or protest against corruption if the corrupt government shares the loot with them even when only the crumbs of the national cake are left for them in what they call "You Chop I Chop" government. RESTORING FAITH IN GOVERNANCE:THE UZODINMA STRATEGY

"RESTORING FAITH IN GOVERNANCE : THE UZODINMA STRATEGY* *TO ALL NDI IMO.* *OUR VISION* To galvanise Imo people to aspire and achieve together. To ensure that Imo comes before self-interest as we promote the tenets of one people, one destiny. To support, promote and place Imo State on the horizon of limitless opportunities while telling it as it is without bias, compromise, prejudice, favouritism or partisanship. *OUR MISSION* The need for clarity, certainty and accuracy in understanding the workings of the government in Imo State has never been more urgent than now. A lot of issues critical to our people are deliberately twisted, spinned, unreported, underreported and even mangled to create the impression that our state is under siege, failing and therefore should be avoided by all means. The state has suffered extensive damages occasioned by an intricately contrived de-marketing agenda by agents of destablisation bent on tarring our people and the government with the brush of s...

Dear Karl Maier, This House Has Not Yet Fallen

Image
Being extracts from In the House of Dogs (Kindle Edition) by Michael Chima Ekenyerengozi; King of Kings Books International; 1 edition; November 2011. It’s not easy to state who started it or how many died. But the horror for those affected is clear . — Craig S. Keener, June 2010. Dear Karl Maier , This house has not yet fallen, but it is shaking. Our house is full of strange bed fellows of lunatic fringe elements of the black sheep of a dysfunctional family. One is turbaned and goes round the bend bowing to the crescent moon and star suffering from a very contagious Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease of his mad cows. The other one has gone loco from sniffing too much hydrocarbons in his littoral states at the bottom of the river Niger. Imagine living in the house of nightmares, cast between the devil and the deep blue sea and caught in the snares of the sirens. Our house is like a home full of Wole Soyinka’s “Madmen and Specialists”, swimming in the whirlpool of the vicious circle of the...

Behold the Nigerian Generation of Olodos!

Image
Photo Credit: "Confusion Of The Nigerian Youth" from Information Nigeria.Org Behold the Nigerian Generation of Olodos! Shocking reports of mass failures in Nigerian school examinations have only confirmed the observations of many scholars and social watchdogs since the past and present incompetent administrations of the Nigerian government have failed to address the systemic failure of modern education in Africa’s most populous nation. How can pupils and students pass examinations and excel in scholarship when they no longer read! They prefer to waste their quality time chatting and pinging on smart phones, babbling and gossiping on Facebook filled with their trivia of junk, Twitter and other social network sites, hooked on European soccer leagues and championships and messing around in wanton promiscuous sexual intercourse spun by psychedelic X-rated hip hop music videos and pornographic movies on the Internet and TV while their equally corrupt parents and g...
