Western Propaganda, NATO, The Arab Spring And The Rest Of Us

Image
Millions of people in Nigeria and the est of the world celebrating the downfall of Muammar Gaddafi' should not be fooled by Western Propaganda. The Internet is largely the propelling force of the domino effect of political angst sweeping many countries as the majority of unemployed youths and the lunatic fringe are blaming their elders and leaders for their woes. But let us hope the angst will not turn to anarchy. Angst often brings out more of the worst in humans than the best. The Arab Spring is an ill wind no matter how you see it from the rose tinted glasses of Western Propaganda. Terrorists are only engaged in their power struggle in the Middle East and when they have finished turning against themselves, they are going to turn their angst against you. No amount of Western Propaganda can convert the Muslims to love the Christian Imperialism of Western Super Powers and their allies. Without the undemocratic interference of NATO, Gaddafi and his murdered sons and other thous...

Thank God for the Victory of Hillary Clinton in n Pennsylvania!

Image
Photo: Yahoo News "The road to 1600 Pennsylvania Road runs right through the heart of Pennsylvania." ~ Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton after winning the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary on April 22, 2008. Thank God, Senator Hillary Clinton has done it again, with another big state win in n Pennsylvania! It is an outstanding victory for Hillary Clinton who beat Barack Obama by 10 points. She won 55% of the votes, while Barack Obama won 45%. Barack Obama spent over $11 million on TV adverts and other strategies in his desperation to win the Pennsylvania Democratic Primary and lost to Hillary Clinton who spent only about $5 million. Hillary has the artillery to secure victory for the Democratic Party in the Presidential Election in November 2008. The Democratic Party will lose the Presidential Election without Hillary Clinton. Only the dream team of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton or Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can beat John McCain and the political machine of the GOP in the...

Hillary Clinton Sees America At the Crossroads for a New Beginning

"Good evening. As we start this New Year, America is at a crossroads. We're a nation at war in a dangerous world. We have a faltering economy, an energy crisis and 47 million people without health care. But after seven long years of this administration, we finally have the opportunity for a new beginning. Tomorrow, you can take the first step. After all the town meetings, the pie and coffee, it comes down to this: Who's ready to be president and ready to start solving the big challenges we face on day one? And we can solve them. We can end the era of cowboy diplomacy and bring our sons and daughters home from Iraq. We can make a new beginning for our economy and rebuild our great middle class. We can reform our government and transform our energy future. We can make a new beginning on health care: cut costs, improve quality and cover every American. I'm not running for President to put Band-Aids on our problems. I'm running to solve them. You've welcomed me int...

Between Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Senator Barack Obama

Image
Barack in 1990 and Hillary in 1969. (Photo: Steve Liss/Time Life Pictures/Getty Images; Everett Collection) I have said it and more intelligent people have written on the same matter. Senator Barack Obama is a wishful thinker posing and posturing as an intellectual politician and being a mulatto does not mean he would be welcomed in all the countries of the world as an American symbol of a global foreign policy. Most of those giving thumbs up to the political savvy of Barack Hussein Obama should be in 8th grade. Others hype the fact that Barack Obama (HLS ’91) led the Harvard Law Review. If being a professor is the qualification for genius, I wonder what would have happened to all the great inventors who made it possible for us to be online, but who were never professors. Any diligent student can become a professor. You may not even be a genius. For the ignorant ones, Hillary Clinton (YLS ’73) was an Editor of the The Yale Review of Law and Social Action in 1971. Hillary Rodham ar...

NEWSWEEK: Cover: The Billion Dollar Wild Card BLOOMBERG ON RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT: 'I am not running for president. I have 790-odd days to go in this job, the greatest job in the world-maybe the second greatest job.' 'One of the sad things is that at the moment America is not liked around the world. We are closing our eyes ... And I don't hear from the candidates how they would go about pulling the world together, getting people to respect us.' One year from Election Day, Newsweek takes an in-depth look at the people - and places - that could have a major impact on Campaign 2008 NEW YORK, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- For New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg -- the billion dollar wild card in the 2008 presidential election -- public service and public attention are inextricably linked, and have been since boyhood. Michigan Men Sue American Airlines

Michigan Men Sue American Airlines Group detained in August says they were racially profiled DETROIT, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Six Michigan men who in August were escorted off an American Airlines flight and then detained filed a race discrimination lawsuit Wednesday against the airline, saying the incident was a clear case of racial profiling, false imprisonment and a violation of civil rights. Filed in U.S. District Court by Allen Brothers PLLC of Detroit, the lawsuit seeks hundreds of thousands of dollars in compensatory damages for hours of detainment, interrogation, public humiliation and embarrassment. The incident occurred when the group was returning home from providing consulting work for U.S. troops. "The airline treated these individuals like criminals, simply because of stereotyping and ignorance. The irony is, these men were returning home from training our troops before deployment to Iraq," said Lawrence Garcia, the attorney representing the men. "This kind o...

Nigerian Female Bloggers Are Making Waves in the Blogosphere!

Suddenly more Nigerian babes and ladies are blogging and making the Nigerian blogosphere sizzling with hot posts. And they are attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. Most of their blogs are what I call scuttlebutt blogs or daily social gist and tidbits blogs. And Bella Naija leads the pack, followed by Linda Ikeji and company. Adaure is still in a world of her own, because she is like the Oprah Winfrey of the Nigerian blogosphere in her subject matters. Queen Ebong and others are still exciting and thrilling. The most profiled Nigerian female blogger still remains Sokari Ekine of Black Looks. . And Funmi Iyanda would be more enlightened if she spends some quality time with Sokari. There are Nigerian female bloggers as young as 11. Two of them have left comments on Nigerian Times since 2005. There are over 400 Nigerian bloggers and quite a small number for a nation of over 140 million people. Even South Africa and Kenya have more bloggers than Nigeria. There are over 5 mill...

Nigeria: President Yar'Adua Must Save Nigerian Universities From Total Collapse

Nigeria: President Yar'Adua Must Save Nigerian Universities From Total Collapse President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and Vice President Goodluck Jonathan were university lecturers before dumping their academic gowns for Nigerian politics. And millions of their old boys expect the best things to begin to happen to Nigerian education, because of these two former academics that are now in power. That is why they are not surprised that President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua is going to end the three months old strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).The pragmatic measures of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua ended the last nationwide workers strike and he is employing the same pragmatic approach to end the protracted ASUU strike. President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua knows the cause of disagreement between the government and Nigerian university lecturers, because he had been through similar trials and tribulations of Nigerian academics in the past. And it would be unfortunate ...
