The True Cost Of War: Marla Ruzicka and the Conscience of America
On April 16, 2005, Marla Ruzicka a young woman from California was killed by a suicide bomb in Baghdad.
Marla Ruzicka has become the symbol of the sacrificial lamb of the American Cross in the war in Iraq. And as we remember the eternal sacrifice of our Lord and Messiah Jesus Christ the one and only Lamb of God, let us spare a moment to remember all the innocent victims of the war on terror in Iraq and other parts of the world.
The true cost of war cannot be counted in the number of the dead.
Because the victims are more than the dead.
Marla's legacy lives on in the countless people continuing her work and in the families she tried so hard to assist. Her help to victims of war should also be enshrined in our policies if we as a country are to be, as Marla put it, "just a little bit better."

Keshi.
I was once a refugee child and that has made me very sensitive to humanitarian emergencies caused by wars or other disasters.
Missionaries like Marla are the burden bearers of humankind. And we would be lost without them.
Jerine,
I wish the Prince of Peace my Lord and our Messiah Jesus Christ gives you the peace of mind to make you sleep and wake up always healthier and stronger.
