Goethe Institut and DVWORX Studios Support Screen Naija One Village, One Cinema

The German Goethe-Institut in Nigeria and DVWORX Studios in Lagos have joined the partners of Screen Outdoor Open Air Cinema (SOOAC) for the launching of Screen Naija One Village, One Cinema at the Freedom Park Lagos on Saturday June 22, 2013. The inaugural launching sponsored by the Bank of Industry of Nigeria is open to the public from 4 pm - 9 pm and it is free. Expected at the event are over 500 people; including the new brand ambassador of the Bank of Industry Afro hip hop super star Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D'banj, Nollywood stars, movie buffs, entertainment celebrities and major stakeholders in the Nigerian film industry. Screen Outdoor Open Air Cinema duly registered to operate outdoor cinema business in Nigeria will launch the Screen Naija One Village, One Cinema Project in every conducive and receptive safe community of all the local government areas (LGAs) in Nigeria starting from Lagos State to boost the Nigerian film industry. "I condemn the murder of Guylain Chanjabo and urge authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo to do their utmost to shed light on his tragic death, and bring those responsible to justice," said the Director-General of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova.
