The Day Barack Obama Made History: A Video Documentary

The Day Barack Obama Made History: My Candid Opinion

I had no right to vote for Senator Barack Obama, but I have the right to congratulate him on his historic election as the next President of the United States of America on November 4, 2008.

Senator Barack Obama has become the first ever African American to be elected as the President of the United States of America. His epic achievement means a lot to African Americans and all people of color and millions of humans who have been seen as minorities or less privileged, who are now inspired to follow in his giant strides to greater heights in the world.

I was one of the conservative pundits who thought that Barack Obama would not be able to defeat John McCain in the presidential election, but he has proved us wrong and many factors were responsible for his historic victory last Tuesday.

I blame the inefficiencies and inadequacies of the John McCain presidential campaign strategists. Their old fashioned political tactics were out of sync with the new wave social pop culture of the new generation of Americans in the 21st century. The majority of American youths identified with the younger presidential candidate who became their political rock star of the moment. Barack Obama campaign strategists were more streetwise online and offline than the John McCain campaign strategists. The better presidential campaign team won!

Barack Obama campaign strategists also spent a lot of money on media planning and branding for the social marketing of Barack Obama on the largest social networking sites and the media blitz overwhelmed the John McCain campaign. Millions of them contributed and donated a lot to boost the presidential prospects of Barack Obama.

Barack Obama covered more ground and increased his mileage and patronage. His long presidential primary campaign against Hillary Clinton also propelled the political momentum of Barack Obama and made him a phenomenal political icon of American liberals who idolized him as their flag bearer and he successfully navigated the course of a new era as the catalyst of change, a turning point in the political history of America. His intellectual brilliance and poetic eloquence made Barack Obama charismatic and magnetic and his biracial family background also made him more colorful with a cross over appeal to all Americans and others who flocked to him like junkies hooked on Ecstasy.

The majority of Americans was also tired of the Republican Party and they have had enough of the economic and socio-political failures and foreign policy blunders of President George W. Bush and since Senator John McCain belongs to the same GOP, Barack Obama accused him of being complicit with the Bush administration. He labeled him as an accomplice of the villified Bush administration and the financial crisis with the looming recession worsened the presidential prospects of John McCain. Barack Obama piled on the complicity of John McCain with the Bush administration on the hated war in Iraq.

Barack Obama was smarter!

I believe that if God did not permit it, it would not have happened and God has His divine reasons for it.

I wish him all the best as he leads America in the beginning of the nation building of a New America in the leadership of the world in the 21st century.

Editor Jon Meacham On Sarah Palin's Folksiness: 'Do We Want Leaders Who Are Everyday Folks ... Or Who Understand Everyday Folks?'

Palin's Populist View Of High Office -- Hey, Vice President Six-Pack, What Should We Do About Pakistan? -- Is Dangerous

NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham writes in an essay that the honest explanation of the rationale for Sarah Palin's candidacy -- not her preparedness for office, but her personality and nascent maverickism in Alaska -- raises an important question, not only about this election but about democratic leadership. "Do we want leaders who are everyday folks, or do we want leaders who understand everyday folks? Therein lies an enormous difference, one that could decide the presidential election and, if McCain and Palin were to win, shape the governance of the nation."

(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20081005/NYSU002 )

In the October 13 Newsweek cover, "She's One of The Folks (And that's the problem)" (on newsstands Monday, October 6), Meacham examines this question of Palin's folksiness, looking at how it's a liability for the campaign and the country. Sitting with her for part of the Katie Couric interview on CBS, John McCain implicitly compared Palin to Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan, saying that they, too, had been caricatured and dismissed by mainstream voices. The linkages are untenable, Meacham writes. "A successful two-term governor of California, Reagan had spent decades immersed in politics (of both the left and the right) before running for president. He did like to call himself a citizen-politician, and Lord knows he had an occasionally ambiguous relationship with facts, but he was a serious man who had spent a great deal of time thinking about the central issues of the age. To put it kindly, Palin, however promising a governor she is, has not done similar work."

Meacham writes that he could be wrong, and perhaps Palin will somehow emerge from the hurly-burly of history as a transformative figure who was underestimated in her time by journalists who could not see, or refused to acknowledge, her virtues. "But do I think that I am right in saying that Palin's populist view of high office -- hey, Vice President Six-Pack, what should we do about Pakistan? -- is dangerous? You betcha."

"A key argument for Palin, in essence, is this: Washington and Wall Street are serving their own interests rather than those of the broad whole of the country, and the moment requires a vice president who will, Cincinnatus-like, help a new president come to the rescue," Meacham writes. "The problem with the argument is that Cincinnatus knew things. Palin sometimes seems an odd combination of Chauncey Gardiner from 'Being There' and Marge from 'Fargo.' Is this an elitist point of view? Perhaps, though it seems only reasonable and patriotic to hold candidates for high office to high standards. Elitism in this sense is not about educational or class credentials ... It is, rather, about the pursuit of excellence no matter where you started in life. Jackson, Lincoln, Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Clinton were born to ordinary families, but they spent their lives doing extraordinary things, demonstrating an interest in, and a curiosity about, the world around them. This is much less evident in Palin's case."

Meacham praises Palin for her public service. "If she were seeking a Senate seat, or being nominated for a cabinet post-secretary of energy, say, or interior -- the conversation about her would be totally different. But she is not seeking a Senate seat, nor is she being nominated for a cabinet post, and so it is only prudent to ask whether she is in fact someone who should be president of the United States in the event of disaster. She may be ready in a year or two, but disaster does not coordinate its calendar with ours. Would we muddle through if Palin were to become president? Yes, we would, but it is worth asking whether we should have to."

In a counterpoint essay, Karl Rove, the former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President Bush and a Newsweek contributor, writes that, with respect, Meacham misses the principal arguments for Palin. "She is the governor of a state with an $11 billion operating budget, a $1.7 billion capital budget and nearly 29,000 employees; she's got more executive experience than any candidate for president or vice president this year. In Alaska she took on the state political establishment, the incumbent Republican governor and the oil companies. She's a rising star who accentuates McCain's maverick strengths and a 'hockey mom' who has developed a powerful tie to ordinary voters."

"That link isn't itself an argument for Palin. But being able to connect with, and inspire, the public is an asset -- not a liability. As for Jon's argument against 'everyday Americans' as political leaders, many great presidents have been more average than elitist. Ronald Reagan, from Eureka College, was a far better leader than Woodrow Wilson, a former president of Princeton. Wilson would have given you 100 Supreme Court opinions he disagreed with, whether you wanted to listen or not," Rove writes.

'101 Things You - and John McCain - Didn't Know About Sarah Palin'

By Gregory Bergman

BOSTON, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- www.101thingsaboutsarahpalin.com: Sarah Palin is living proof that politics does indeed make strange bedfellows. In "101 Things You -- and John McCain -- Didn't Know" about Sarah Palin (Adams Media/October 1, 2008) by comedian Greg Bergman, readers learn the (alleged) truth about the (reputed) Republican darling from Alaska who has taken the nation by (ice) storm. From hunter, to hockey mom, to live action figure, this book confirms America's latest instant-celebrity is indeed stranger -- and scarier -- than ever imagined.

With the polls projecting a statistical dead-heat and the election nearly one month away, left-leaning voters are feeling the pressure -- and desperate for a laugh. For the 18 million-strong Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsuits to the 72 million registered Democrats praying for a Palin pratfall, "101 Things You -- and John McCain -- Didn't Know about Sarah Palin" proves politics can be much funnier than fiction. For instance:

-- When Sarah Palin was a little girl, her father Charlie reportedly often took her moose hunting before school. We know that eating together as a family is important, but hunting your meal down as a family? Now that's true togetherness ...

-- Palin attended a Pentecostal church until 2002. Interestingly, she's characteristically silent on the subject of her speaking in tongues.

-- Palin has sued the federal government for putting polar bears on the endangered species list. Apparently they are not as cute and cuddly up close as they are in cartoons.

-- In 2007, Sarah Palin offered $150 to every hunter who hacked off the left foreleg of a wolf shot from a plane. Talk about wolves being thrown, uh ... to the wolves.

A hilarious and irreverent look at America's favorite "Caribou Barbie," this is the only humor book on Palin currently available.

Author and comedian Gregory Bergman is the author of "WTF?," "BizzWords," "Isms," and "The Little Book of Bathroom Philosophy." His work has been featured in the "Wall Street Journal" and on NPR. Bergman is based in Los Angeles.

Nigerian Internet Scammers Now Operate From Homes

Nigerian Internet Scammers Now Operate From Homes

To escape from the long arms of the law, the notorious Nigerian Internet scammers, popularly known as ‘Yahoo -Yahoo!’ have moved from cyber cafes to the privacy of their homes.

After an investigation by a reliable news reporter who visited Lagos in the last week of June, he found out that the “Yahoo -Yahoo!” boys have gone underground since the Nigerian Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) swooped on the cyber cafes frequented by the Internet scammers. They now use laptops to contact their ignorant targets in the United States and other developed countries.

The successful “Yahoo -Yahoo!” guys are well known on the campus of the University of Lagos in South western Nigeria, where they cruise about with their fair-weather girlfriends in their flashy cars and bling bling fashion, while their admirers and hangers-on cheer them on.

“There is always a greedy Maga online who will fall for any of their various methods of Internet scams,” said an investigator. Most of the “Yahoo-Yahoo!” boys are located in both the densely populated urban areas in major cities in Nigeria, with the largest numbers in the mega city of Lagos.
“In Surulere, Fadeyi and Ikeja areas of Lagos,” the investigator said. He could identify many of them in his neighborhood.
“Some of them even go about with their laptops concealed in their shoulder bags,” he said. He noted that one of them nicknamed ‘small jesus” made millions from Internet scams, spent part of the money on helping the poor and the needy in his locality and returned to school and he has stopped his life of crime after graduating from the university. But only few of them have stopped Internet scams. Thousands of them are still using their laptops to hunt and scam every Maga who would be willing to believe their cock and bull stories of money laundering, oil contracts, romantic relationships, etc.

If you do not want to be the next Maga of the notorious Nigerian Internet scammers, delete their unsolicited e-mails as soon as you see them in your in-box.

The Global Fund Requests Approval of $1.62 Billion for Malaria Programs - If Granted, Universal Access to Bed Nets Achievable by 2010

NEW YORK, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Friends of the Global Fight applauds commitments made at the 2008 MDG Malaria Summit, held in tandem with the annual United Nations assembly of world leaders in New York, which this year is discussing the Millennium Development Goals.

(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080925/DC35212LOGO )

Of the announcements made, the largest came from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, who said its Board of Directors will be asked to approve $1.62 billion in funding for programs to combat malaria over two years. If approved, this represents the biggest request for malaria financing to date. In addition to the Global Fund's announcement, several funding pledges to fight malaria over the coming years were made by a number of actors, including private sector companies, the World Bank and the UK government, totaling nearly $3 billion. All of these commitments will support rapid implementation of the Global Malaria Action Plan, an unprecedented new strategy that was also launched today by the Roll Back Malaria Partnership with the broad support of a united malaria community.

"The Global Fund's announcement represents the largest single round of malaria funding requested in its history," said Natasha Bilimoria, Executive Director of Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. "An unprecedented round of funding can bring unprecedented change; if the Board of Directors approves this request, the Global Fund can make universal access to bed nets by 2010 a reality."

In response to a global call to more effectively combat malaria and close the bed net gap, Global Fund-financed programs have significantly scaled up their work. In addition to the 59 million bed nets already distributed by Global Fund programs, this new funding, if approved, would allow for an additional 100 million nets -- in addition to effective malaria medicines -- to be purchased and distributed over the next two years. The Global Fund is currently financing malaria programs in 79 countries worth $3.7 billion, and is providing two-thirds of all international funding for malaria.

"The country proposals requesting funding -- all of which meet the Global Fund's high standards for quality and technical merit -- are poised to quickly and effectively make a significant impact on the burden of malaria around the world," said Bilimoria. "Our investments in global health work have translated into lives saved, and we must continue to put significant resources behind these successful programs."

Since its creation in 2002, the Global Fund has committed more than $11.5 billion to 136 countries around the world to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Currently, the Global Fund provides about one-quarter of international financing to fight AIDS and two-thirds of international funding for tuberculosis and malaria programs.

The Disgrace of Thabo Mbeki or Jacob Zuma's Coup?

President Thabo Mbeki and ANC Chieftain Jacob Zuma when they were jolly good fellows before their political cookie crumbled.

Dear Mbeki Brother,
I have been excited and impressed by President Thabo Mbeki's successful resolution of the political crisis in Zimbabwe with the peaceful power sharing between the shameless dictator Robert Mugabe and the never-say-die opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) on September 15, 2008. But I am shocked by the wishy-washy way the African National Congress (ANC) harassed and embarrassed President Thabo Mbeki out of office! Is this how you honour and reward your heroes?
Or is Thabo Mbeki not worthy of your honour?

The mass resignations of his notable ministers should be enough to show that they are not happy with the political conspiracy that eventually resulted in the unceremonious resignation of President Thabo Mbeki.

When deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Local Government Minister Sydney Mufamadi and Defence Minister Mosiuoa Lekota and over a third of the 31-member cabinet of President Thabo Mbeki have left with him, what would be left? A shadow government of the African National Congress(ANC). The ANC chief Jacob Zuma has simply overthrown the government of President Thabo Mbeki.

No matter what Jacob Zuma and his political cohorts in the ANC think, Thabo Mbeki is still a man of dignity and integrity and great African leader who has been a worthy successor of the great Madiba Nelson Mandela.

Oilgate: I Will Support President Umaru Yar'Adua To Destroy Illegal Oil Bunkering in Nigeria

President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua of Nigeria

I have decided to support the decision of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua to put an end to illegal oil bunkering in Nigeria and stop the loss of over $20 million illegal crude stolen from Nigeria each day. But the Alhaji Umaru Yar'Adua must be ready to prosecute the trial of the criminals who are engaged in the blood oil trade from the Niger Delta to Abuja.

Oil Rig in Nigeria

We know the oligarchy that is responsible for this oilgate. They are both in the public sector and private sector. Many of them are in the Nigerian Armed Forces and the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and many of them are on the Boards of Directors of the leading banks in Nigeria. I am ready to expose them, but Let him be ready to sack them and arrest them for public trial. Enough is enough!

The Politics Of Palin

All thumbs up to Senator John McCain
For he has a lot to gain
By his wise choice of Governor Sarah Palin

The Politics Of Palin

September 05, 2008
Gov. Sarah Palin stepped into the spotlight and reignited an age-old debate: can working women can have it all? Harry Smith poses that question to a roundtable of three women.

Special GOP Convention Issue: The Happiest Convention
by (more by this author)

Posted 09/05/2008 ETUpdated 09/05/2008 ET

This was the happiest convention I have attended.
In seven conventions going back to 1984, I have never seen delegates as happy.
I have seen them eager, energized, committed, determined but the underlying mood last night was sheer joy.

There was joy that Senator McCain had had the courage to pick Governor Palin.
There was joy that she and her family had come through the week of attacks smiling and eager to campaign.

There was joy that Governor Palin's Wednesday night speech completely vindicated Senator McCain's choice.

There was joy that 37 million Americans had seen her speech. That is almost as many as watched Senator Obama's acceptance speech (39 million).

There was deep inspiration from Cindy McCains story of adopting a child from Bangladesh and her commitment to the poor and the weak around the world.

There was awe at the film about Senator McCain's service to country and inspiration from the personal parts of his speech.

There was joy at Roberta McCain saying "he's a momma's boy" and admiration for her energy and enthusiasm at 96 (sort of knocks down the age issue).
Finally there was joy that we had nominated two real people of great authenticity to take on the poseurs on the other ticket.

It was appropriate in St. Paul, the city of F. Scott Fitzgerald, that the modern Great Gatsby found himself facing a ticket with a real war hero and a real governor.
Obama's long voyage of self discovery and posturing may be about to collide with a team that can't be intimidated and is not afraid to tell the truth.
Now that is a cause for joy.

The Coming War Against Sarah Palin
I am writing this newsletter from St. Paul, MN, where Alaska Governor Sarah Palin electrified the crowd at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. And I think it's safe to say she showed the entire country a fresh new face of conservative reform.

There was a lot of build-up to Governor Palin's speech, both in the media and among the professional Republican political class. Everyone was telling us that the speech was the Governor's big moment; if she could perform well Wednesday night, she would break free of the despicable, sustained partisan and personal attacks being leveled at her by everyone from the left-wing blogs to the elite media.

Palin Survived. Now the Left REALLY Has to Destroy Her
But the pundits and the consultants were wrong. Palin's success last week doesn't mean the left-wing is going to give up attacking her.

Palin's success means that now the left really has to destroy her.
Why? Because she's proved that she is an intelligent, articulate and mortal threat to the left's claim that it is the sole, legitimate voice of women and blue-collar, working Americans.
Sarah Palin is a mother of five who is also an accomplished woman.
She is a lifelong member of the NRA who is also an intelligent, articulate professional.
She is pro-life in her words and in her deeds, and she controls an $11 billion budget and 15,000 Alaska state employees.

Simply put, the left has a greater vested interest in destroying her than any presidential or vice presidential candidate the Republican Party has nominated in the last fifty years.
The media will try to downplay her accomplishments as when Ron Allen of MSNBC tried to get me to accept that she had too little experience. Watch it here.

Echoes of the Clarence Thomas Nomination
We've seen this kind of desperation before, of course.
Those of us who lived through the effort by the elites to destroy Clarence Thomas when he was nominated to sit on the Supreme Court by George H. W. Bush have an unsettling idea of the fight that lies ahead.

The left and the elites regarded Thomas - an African-American who is also a conservative - as a threat to their ability to be the arbiters of what African-Americans and other minorities should believe.

Allowing Thomas to ascend to the high court would show that skin color does not dictate political affiliation - just as allowing Sarah Palin to become vice president would show that being a woman and a blue-collar American does not dictate political party. So they threw mud at Thomas. They called him a traitor to his race.

Just like what's happening now with Governor Palin. We've seen this before.
If Palin's Still Standing in November, Republicans Will Win the Election

The road ahead promises to be bumpy. But the good news is that if Governor Palin survives the next few months as a national figure of competence and reform, then the left suddenly has a tremendous problem.
It's a problem that is bigger than just losing the election (which is what will happen if she is a star in November).

The left's problem will be that, at 44, Sarah Palin represents potentially 30 years of Republican Party leadership and transforming the party and America.

The stakes are high, and the race is on.

It's time to brace ourselves for the coming war against Sarah Palin - and its time to win it.

Your friend,

Newt Gingrich

"Africa for Obama" is Another Nigerian 419

Prof. Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke

"Africa for Obama" is Another Nigerian 419
« on: Today at 03:51:19 AM »

It does not take long to uncover the facade of a greedy Nigerian, irrespective of the academic, professional or social status. The organisers of "Africa for Obama" are daylight criminals who think they are smart enough to fool the foolish Nigerians and others they have swindled under the cover of mobilizing support for the election of Senator Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election in the United States of America.

Who told them that Africans in America need socio-political mobilization and sensitization to vote for Barack Obama?

What a childish and foolish excuse to swindle the ignorant and miseducated elites and money bags in Nigeria.

These fools who have not even thought of donating money for the renovation of classrooms, libraries and laboratories of the neglected government polytechnics , colleges of education and universities have rushed like fools to donate millions of naira to a 419 political dinner/concert that is illegal and criminal.

This is another evidence of the decadence and ignorance plaguing Nigerian elites and corrupt title holders. Now you can see why Nigeria is plagued by these demons in disguise in high places and the millions of ignorant Nigerians at their beck and call.

The legions of hypocrites, parasites and prostitutes who parade themselves in the arcade of power in the masquerade of their academic, professional and political titles. Are these the apes who will lead Nigeria into the Promise Land of Vision 2020?We must separate ourselves from these legions, lest we would be entangled in the deadly tentacles of their corruption.

The disgrace of Ndi Okereke-Onyuike is long over due and she is not alone.

They are a legion of women who are actiually the cankerworms of corruption destroying Nigeria by their whoredom.Lest we forget, thousands of their beneficiaries are among us, pretending to be innocent sheep of the Nigerian flock, but God knows they are wolves in sheep clothing. They shuttle to and from Lagos and Abuja, Port Harcourt and Abuja, Warri and Abuja, Calabar and Abuja, Benin City and Abuja, Enugu and Abuja, Umuahia and Abuja and other Nigerian state capitals.. But they know themselves and are members of the same cult who are posing and posturing as "Christians" and "Muslims" in the public sector and private sector.

All the members of the boards of directors of the top banks in Nigeria are shareholders of the blood money from the Niger Delta to Abuja.

Their judgment day is at hand.

We must not spare anyone of them as Jerry Rawlings did not spare any of the cankerworms of corruption in Ghana.

We must not spare them and their beneficiaries. This is the only solution, otherwise Nigeria cannot be redeemed.

We must not look back in the pursuit of justice in Nigeria.

Latest news update: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has seized the passport of the Director-General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Prof. Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke.

I think the criminals behind Africa for Obama have gone into hiding

Play "Catch the Bomb" and Spread the Word

Every year, millions of people suffer as a result of the irresponsible arms trade.

Two years ago, 153 governments voted at the United Nations to start work on developing an international Arms Trade Treaty. We want as many people as possible to take action to control the arms trade.

Play "Catch the Bomb" and spread the word

Throughout 2008, a group of experts from 28 countries has been meeting to discuss the content of the treaty. Now is the time to turn words into action and deliver an Arms Trade Treaty strong enough to save lives and stop irresponsible arms deals.

A small minority of governments opposes international controls on the arms trade and is determined to block, derail and delay any further progress on the treaty. They must not be allowed to succeed.

Tell your government that the world is watching, it’s time for an Arms Trade Treaty.

Thank you for supporting us,

The Control Arms Team

New Zogby Poll Results Bad News for McCain, Obama

New book by Joseph Farah calls on Americans to vote 'None of the Above' in 2008. (PRNewsFoto/WND Books) WASHINGTON, DC UNITED STATES 08/13/2008

New Zogby Poll Results Bad News for McCain, Obama

Nearly 2 in 3 voters want someone else: 62.4% of Americans say they would like to see better choices of candidates, parties in future

WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new Zogby poll commissioned by Joseph Farah, WorldNetDaily founder and author of the new book: "None of the Above: Why 2008 is the Year to Cast the Ultimate Protest Vote" indicates a large percentage are ready to throw in the towel rather than vote for either of the two candidates in Nov. 2008.

(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080813/DC30373 )

Unlike any other scientific poll conducted in 2008, this survey asked randomly selected respondents about their level of enthusiasm for presidential candidates and offered the actual alternatives to the major party candidates that will appear on most ballots across the country - as well as the option of simply not voting.

"I think what we see here confirms my observation that there is widespread disenchantment with the two major-party nominees, something that has simply not been adequately measured before this poll," Farah says. "There is a leaderless, grass-roots movement out there to boycott both McCain and Obama in 2008 - to make a statement, to demand better candidates in the future from better parties. This could be a historic election for non-participation in a year with no high-profile third-party alternatives."

Barack Obama came in first with just 38.1 percent of the vote to John McCain's 33.6 percent.

A whopping 21.3 percent said they were still undecided - a remarkably high figure for this late in the campaign that ends Nov. 4. But another 7.3 percent indicated they would not be voting at all.

Only 21.7 percent of respondents described themselves as very excited about the choice of candidates for president this year. A similar number, 21.5 percent, said they were "not at all" excited about the options.

Younger voters say they want more competition in the political marketplace. Some 83 percent of voters 18-24 express that opinion, while 73 percent of those between 25-34 do. In addition, 76.4 percent of those who describe themselves as "very conservative" say they want more viable candidate and party choices in the future.

It also appears the enthusiasm gap hits McCain harder than Obama, with 22.3 percent of Republicans expressing no excitement at all over the election vs. 11.9 percent of Democrats. On the other hand, 35.3 percent of Democrats say they are "very much" excited about the choice vs. 14.4 percent of Republicans.
