American and Three Other Hostages Freed!

4 Kidnapped Oil Workers Freed in Nigeria WOW! What a way to celebrate my birthday! The Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) has freed the American and three of his colleagues (a Briton, a Bulgarian and a Honduran) they had kidnapped and held hostage since January 11. The good news report is music to my ears, because I wanted these innocent oil contractors to be released and God answered my prayers as a special birthday present to me. I commend MEND for releasing the four hostages without harming them. I hope Shell and the other multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta will now cooperate more with deprived indigenes of the host communities than with the corrupt rulers of the kleptocratic Nigerian government. The Victory of HAMAS and the Threat to Israel

Image
Sheik Mohammed Abu Teir who is already talking tough has said Hamas plans to institute single-sex schooling 'because we look at examples in the West, like Sweden. they have the highest level of co-education and the highest level of suicides.' Photo: Oded Balilty/AP I was wondering why the Western leaders should be shocked when Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya(HAMAS)won the first Palestinian parliamentary elections of January 2006, with a 58% majority of the vote, having won 76 of the 132 legislative seats. The news only shocked the largely ignorant Western World. Because, they have always been ignorant of the psyche of the average Palestinian and other Arabs. But most of the Islamic world wanted HAMAS to win and take over the governance of Palestine to quicken their suicide mission to destroy their common foe Israel. And the second in command of HAMAS, Sheik Mohammed Abu Teir is already talking tough that they will continue their terrorist armed struggle against Israel as long a

AMERICAN NUN COLLECTED $4.5 MILLION FROM SADDAM HUSSEIN

Image
Saddam Hussein The Washington Post has just revealed that the scapegoat of the American gambit in the Middle East Saddam Hussein donated millions of dollars to build a church and a mosque in America. Do you know why I have called Saddam Hussein the Scapegoat of the American Gambit in the Mddle East? Please, read: The scapegoat was a goat that was driven off into the wilderness as part of the ceremonies of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, in Judaism during the times of the Temple in Jerusalem. The rite is described in Leviticus 16. The word also refers, in modern parlance, to one who is blamed for misfortunes, often as a way of distracting attention from the real causes . When a generous benefactor donated $500,000 to help build a teal-domed mosque amid the rolling tobacco fields of Southern Maryland, nobody paid much attention to the source of the money. But a quarter-century and two Gulf Wars later, there is considerably more interest in the philanthropist: former Iraqi dictator Sad

SHELL, ASARI DOKUBO AND THE NIGER DELTA CRISIS

Image
ASARI DOKUBO In the Western world, they say that ignorance is bliss But in Africa we say ignorance kills. ~ Orikinla Osinachi ~ The majority of the employees of the Royal Dutch Shell Overseas are more interested in collecting their fat salaries than in social responsibility in the host communities. And the corrupt kleptocratic governments of the host communities have made matters worse by plundering the natural resources of the host communities and squandering the revenue allocations and accruing profits from crude oil and gas exports since when the Royal Dutch Shell first struck its commercial oil well in Nigeria in 1956, at Olobiri now in Bayelsa State in the Niger Delta region to date. The ignorance of these facts and mercantile conspiracy by the multinational oil companies and corrupt governments in underdeveloped oil producing countries have only aggravated the critical conflicts of interests over the years and these abuse and misuse of power and control of natural resources hav

"Rogue State: Why Osama bin Laden is more Intelligent Than George W.Bush

Image
Osama bin Laden Good readers are good leaders -Michael Chima As they say you are what you eat, you are also what you read. Now the Americans got the shock of their "ignorance is bliss" American life when their most hated and most wanted adversary told them to go and read "Rogue State: A Guide to the World's Only Superpower," by the Polish-American historian William Blum William Blum The Washington Post report is a must read for all literate Americans and others all over the world. Because, the fact that Osama bin Laden has read this very blunt analysis of American foreign policy of gunboat diplomacy shows that Osama bin Laden is more intelligent than President George Walker Bush of America who has underestimated the IQ of the intelligentsia of the Al Qaida and paid dearly for his ignorance. Because ignorance kills. The terrible blunders of the American military strategy in the war on terror have shown us the inefficiencies of the CIA, the Pentagon and the White

The US Versus IRAN Nuclear War and the Russian Roulette

Image
AMERICA THINKS I AM CRAZY!Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Seems To Be Saying. The only country that Iran will listen to is Russia. And Mohmoud Ahmadinejad is both a schizo and psycho whose erroneous mental state of mind does not make him to recognize any rational point of view, except what his head tells him. He is like Saddam Hussein. Mad men in power. The case of the on-going dispute over the dangerous Nuclear Program of Iran cannot be solved by the US, EU or even China. But Russia. Because, Russia is actually the brain behind the Iranian Nuclear Program.Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are brothers in arms and partners in crime. Russia needs allies to regain her regional stronghold in the world since the collapse of the USSR. And the former members of the USSR, such as Ukraine and Georgia cannot be trusted. So, Russia must look for allies such as Iran and China. And their common weapon is their oil and gas. And the acquisition of Nuclear Power is the ul

Women Take The Lead From Liberia To Chile

PRESIDENT-ELECT MICHELLE BACHELET OF CHILE First it was Liberia that led the way with the unprecedented election of their First Female President lady Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and now Chile has followed suit by electing their own First Female President, the fearless Michelle Bachelet who was a former political prisoner. Read more on the Washington Post from the link above. Socialist Party candidate Michelle Bachelet, a political prisoner during Gen. Augusto Pinochet's military dictatorship and a single mother of three, was elected president on Sunday, the first woman to lead a country long considered one of the most culturally traditional in Latin America. With 97 percent of voting sites reporting, Bachelet had won 53 percent of the vote to about 47 percent for billionaire businessman Sebastian Piñera. As I congratulated President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, I hereby congratulate the President elect of Chile Michelle Bachelet. As I blog, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has already been swo

CNOOC:"It's a good deal,"

Image
Yesterday, I reported the most cheering good news of the New Year in Nigeria, the $2.3B CNOOC is investing in the oil industry in Nigeria. The Washington Post has a very comprehensive report on it. The analysis of the investment by Peter S. Goodman and Justin Blum is worth reading and documenting. Because they included very important details of the energy crisis in the world caused by the war in Iraq and the desperation for more energy in America, Europe and Asia. Saad Rahim, an analyst at PFC Energy, a Washington-based consulting firm says international oil companies think CNOOC is overpaying for the Nigerian oil field that has estimated proven reserves of over 620 million barrels of oil and about 3.75 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. "If you're talking to one of the international oil companies, they view that as an overpayment," said Rahim. "But for the Chinese companies, because they've been tasked by the government to go out and get as much oil as they can

BREAKING NEWS:CNOOC Limited acquires 45 % stake in offshore Nigerian oil

Image
When the Chinese multinational oil company CNOOC lost in their bid for Unocal of America, I said they should come to Nigeria and invest in the most lucrative oil industry in the world. And the good news on the BBC that CNOOC is coming to do exactly what I said is music to my ears. And the best signals of the good things God has in store for Nigeria this year. But, the BBC did not give the details. I have already confirmed this from CNOOC Ltd that indeed CNOOC Limited has acquired 45 % stake in offshore Nigerian oil mining license 130 for US $2.268 billion cash. Commenting on the acquisition, Chairman and Chief Executive, Fu Chengyu said: “The purchase of this interest in OML 130 helps CNOOC gain access to an oil and gas field of huge interest and upside potential, located in one of the world’s largest oil and gas basins. With one of the leading deep water experts as the operator of the field, we have every confidence for the fast and efficient production of oil.” He also commented: “T

Niger Delta Blues

IWHREKAN, NIGERIA -- In the early morning of July 21, deep below the ground, a 40-centimetre pipeline burst not far from the centre of this little town. Dark, pungent crude oil began to bubble, then spurt, then pour from the ground, soaking the soil, washing into a nearby creek, quickly running down into the river. It coated the leaves, the twigs and each blade of grass, filling the air with a dark, cloying smell.- Stephanie Nolen Yesterday I addressed the news report on the notorious "Yahoo-Yahoo" Internet Scams and today I have to react to the well researched and well written reports on the agonies and ironies of oil exploration in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Dino Mahtani of Financial Times and Stephanie Nolen reminded the world of the festering sores of our crude oil and politics plaguing the host communities in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Dino Mahtani's report "Nigeria Burns an Opportunity" was published on the Los Angeles Times online yesterday (http:

"YAHOO-YAHOO" INTERNET SCAMMERS MADE $170 MILLION IN 2005

Nigeria scam grabs dollars of gullible;Americans continue to fall victim to absurd schemes, especially from Nigeria, which is notorious for financial crime.BY ERIC ROSENBERG.WASHINGTON - Wanted: Americans to share in the fabulous wealth of African despot. Must be discreet, willing to fork over thousands of dollars in advance and, above all, gullible http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/business/national/13520351.htm The first news I read online on Nigeria in 2006 was on how foreign morons lost over $170 Million to Internet Scammers last year and the notorious Nigerians are always the first suspects. I responded immediately by sending a rejoinder to The Miami Herald that published the erroneous news report online.
